Starting with an exploration of Victoria Falls including a scenic helicopter flight over the falls and Batoka Gorge, we’ll enjoy wildlife spotting on an Upper Zambezi canoe safari or perhaps taking a rhino walk or even a sunset cruise. Our home for two nights will be the gloriously decadent Thorntree River Lodge in Zambia’s Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park. It’s location on the banks of the Upper Zambezi will allow us easy access to both the Zambia and Zimbabwe side of the falls as well as the multitude of adventure opportunities in the area. From there, we chase the river upstream to Kisane and board a small plane to Linyanti Bush Camp on the outer reaches of Botswana’s Chobe National Park for four nights of safaris, sundowners and sublime luxury. It will be hard to say goodbye to Linyanti’s charming appointments but once we board the helicopter for our flight over the Okavango Delta to Atzaro Safari Lodge, all misgivings will be forgotten. Situated where the savanna meets the delta for one-of-a-kind safari opportunities, Atzaro will be our base for four nights of ultimate hospitality and safari adventures. From Atzaro, it’s yet another incredible helicopter flight to the airport in Maun, Botswana for flights home.

This unique trip combines five-star accommodations with days of adventure in a wide variety of environments without the crowds. The wildlife in northern Botswana and the Zambezi Basin is mind-blowing in its diversity and the region contains some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. It is a photographer’s dream trip and an experience you will cherish for a lifetime.
