The Dolomite Mountains in northern Italy have long been the destination of choice for adventurers seeking epic mountain views, vast hiking options, luxury accommodations and epicurean delights.

On ROAM Adventures’ decidedly unique Dolomites multi-sport, you’ll get the best of the Dolomites plus you’ll raft the Noce River, e-bike the undulating trails of Adamello Brenta Natural Geopark, challenge yourself on a via ferrata, relax in the soothing Oasi del Sogno spa, and visit local wineries. All while staying in 5-star accommodations and enjoying one delightful meal after another.

There’s so much to do for all abilities, ages 13 and up and with group sizes as small as 4 guests, it’s a perfect family experience as well!

What to Expect on ROAM’s Dolomites Multi-Sport Adventure

Sample Itinerary

We pride ourselves in running a relaxed and flexible schedule. The itinerary is subject to change as it is dependent on weather and participants’ ability. Our daily distances can fluctuate depending on weather, activities, and National Park notices. The following is a sample of what your trip might be like:

Day One

Check in at Hotel Indigo Milan – Corso Monforte

Hotel Indigo Milan – Corso Monforte is a boutique hotel set in the historical centre, just 800 meters from the Duomo of Milan and within walking distance of the main subway stops. The hotel is a jewel of interior design, inspired by the tailoring history of the great maisons of the past and style that suggests guests for the elegant courtyard, the cloister with nineteenth-century colonnade and the scenic rooms.

The hotel is located in a prestigious early 19th century building in Corso Monforte 27, just a few steps away from the Lucio Fontana Foundation, from the ceiling of the Tiepolo at the Palazzo Isimbardi, Via Montenapoleone and Via della Spiga.

Day Two

Hotel Chalet de Sogno · Waterfall Hike · Wine tasting
Day 2 of our Dolomites Multi-Sport begins with a 3 hour transfer from Milan to Madonna di Campiglio. Upon arrival we will check into Hotel Chalet de Sogno, our 5 star luxury basecamp.

This afternoon we will have a choice of hikes to the regions most famous waterfalls. Options include a 1.5 hour round trip or full 4 hour loop (11.7km) with a mild elevation gain/loss of 1000 feet for the full hike.

Whatever you decide, we’ll return for a welcome introduction from our hosts and a tasting of three Trento DOC sparkling wines – the so called “mountain bollicine” among the finest sparkling wines produced on our region of Trentino.

For dinner, we will indulge in a 5 course tasting menu tonight the legendary Ristorante Due Pini.

Day Three

Entering the Dolmiti di Brenta: Passo Grostè · Rifugio Tuckett · Rifugio Casinei · Vallesinella

Today access the heart of the Brenta Dolomites. We will start with a 15 minute walk to the Grostè cable car to cut the initial elevation gain, reaching 2,450 m. This hike offers a spectacular panoramic trail through dolomia limestone rock, with sweeping views over the Adamello–Presanella glaciers.

We’ll have a delicious lunch and break at Rifgio Tuckett before our 1.5 hour descent via Rifugio Casinei, returning home to the best cakes in the valley. Total Hike: 5–6 hours. For those not looking for a full day hike, easier options are also available.

The balance of your afternoon can be spent at our hotel’s coveted OASI del Sogno Spa. Tonight we’ll celebrate this amazing day with dinner at Antico Focolare.

Day Four

E-Mountain bike through Adamello Brenta Natural Geopark

Adamello Brenta Natural Park · Giro delle Malghe · Rifugio Cornisello · Val Nambrone

E-Bikes are a game changer for most people and ROAM has a variety of route lengths and itineraries to accommodate all abilities. Today, we will discover the Adamello Brenta Natural Park by e-mountain bike, with pedal assistance allowing access to spectacular viewpoints while immersing yourself in lush forest, waterfalls, farm-to-farm trails, springs and alpine lakes.

• Duration: 2.5–3 hours, covering 15–20 miles (approx. 24–32 km).

• Difficulty: easy to medium, mainly on gravel roads and wide trails — no hazards.

We’ll stop for lunch at the panoramic Rifugio Pradalago (2100m). After lunch we will shuttle to Rifugio Cornisello for an optional hike to Lago Nero or a quick loop around Lago Cornisello before cocktails at sunset. Lago Nero is one of the Trentino region’s most famous spots for its pure beauty. At the apex of the equally beautiful, untamed Nambrone valley, it is among the most photographed of lakes due, in particular, to the spectacular Brenta Dolomites sunsets that reflect off the water. Lovers of this sort of landscape will definitely want to give this lake a visit, but don’t underestimate the Cornisello Lakes for stunning photos of Presanella!

Tonight we’ll dine with a local family who runs the alpine hut before returning to the hotel.

Day Five

Rafting on the Noce River · Val di Sole · Cobelli Winery

After breakfast we’ll drive Val di Sole for a private rafting adventure. Famous for its exciting rapids and crystal-clear waters, Noce is one of the most sought-after rafting destinations in Europe. Known as one of the most spectacular rivers in the Alps, the Noce offers a unique combination of thrilling challenges and breathtaking scenery.

Characterized by fast-flowing sections and calmer stretches, the Noce River is perfect for every level of adventure, from beginners to experienced rafters. Its scenic canyons, rocky walls and dynamic rapids provide an engaging experience that will connect you with nature in a truly unique way.

This fun stretch of river will help us build up an appetite for lunch at Vecchia Canonica. Our afternoon will be spent on a wine tour and tastings at Vignaioli Indipendenti Cobelli Winery, followed by a light dinner.

Day Six

If You Like Via Ferrata…

The Most Unique and Authentic High Trail — Via Ferrata Natale Vidi

Today we can challenge a spectacular but not too exposed via ferrata along the upper ledges of Pietra Grande. The route runs through an area of great natural and geological interest. The access couldn’t be easier as we gain elevation by gondola.

This via ferrata is suitable for families and often recommended as an introduction to the world of via ferratas. It runs along the spectacular, lightly-trafficked ledges at the base of the west face of Pietra Grande (2,937 m / 9,636 ft). There are some exposed sections but the itinerary is generally considered easy and includes a picnic lunch along the way.

For those not wishing to give this a try, we can organize an alternate itinerary like horse back riding, hiking, fishing or a day at the spa. For those who love it, we do offer a 2 day/1 night via ferrata extension complete with an overnight in a mountain rifugio (private rooms but shared bath)

In the afternoon, we return to Hotel Chalet del Sogno for farewell dinner and celebrations!

Day Seven

Transfer back to Milan for the conclusion of our Dolomites Multi-Sport or onwards to our 6 day/5 night Dolomite hiking adventure!

Chalet Del Sogno

This 5-Star hotel is located in Madonna di Campiglio. The Chalet boasts eighteen spacious bedrooms, all intimate, refined, sound-proofed, bio-conditioned and decorated with characteristic features based on the theme of local flora and fauna. Their restaurants celebrate quality and the local territory, with a strong focus on premium ingredients and the natural surroundings.

Oasi del Sogno is their wellness centre which includes an indoor pool with counter-current swimming, a Finnish sauna, a Turkish bath, a bio-sauna, a relaxation area and an equipped gym. Massages and à la carte beauty treatments with natural products are also available.
