In our ongoing effort to showcase the seldom explored, yet profoundly beautiful corners of British Columbia, we have created a brand new lodge-based multi-sport adventure. Moose Hill Lodge overlooks pristine Atlin Lake with the coastal mountains providing a stunning backdrop to your adventures. Imagine exploring our 648,000-acre tenure each day by e-bike, on foot or paddling sleek and stable sea kayaks. Then returning in the afternoon to unwind in the hot tub, sauna or relax in your private lofted cabin overlooking the lake before cocktails and chef prepared dinner. Now imagine doing that each day, with a different activity following by a deep, restful sleep.

Moose Hill Lodge is located in the remote gold rush town of Atlin, BC, a mere two-hour shuttle south of Whitehorse, YT yet remarkable easy to get to from Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto. With a mountain playground that stretches from Atlin Lake west to the Alaska border and north towards the Yukon and encompassing 2 glaciers and the massive Juneau Icefield, you’ll find yourself in a world of unending exploration and jaw-dropping vistas.

The small-group format of this adventure – only 8 guests total with guides for all your activities – ensures an intimate escape with a personal level of service not often found in adventure travel and because we own the property, private programs are available on a first-come basis.

From bagging peaks to flowing double track to exploring the quaint Klondike-era town of Atlin, this is a remarkable opportunity to explore a unique and timeless landscape in classic ROAM style.

Sample Itinerary

This itinerary can be adapted to the groups’ fitness and interests, and is customizable for a variety of abilities.

Day One – Arrive in Whitehorse

 

 
Today is your arrival day into Whitehorse International Airport (YXY) where a ROAM representative will meet you just outside the baggage area. Look for a ROAM sign with your name on it.

Soon after, we’ll load the van and hit the road for the 2-hour transfer to the historic town of Atlin, British Columbia.

Located in the northwest corner of British Columbia and tucked between the Yukon and Alaska, Atlin is perfectly situated for access to these rugged Coast Ranges.

Atlin is often referred to as “little Switzerland” and is beautiful from any vantage point but especially so from up high in the mountain tops. Truth be known, its not so little as our tenure would cover more than 15% of Switzerland!

Moose Hill is a deluxe lodge and cabin facility perched above Atlin and on a private acreage. We have 6 deluxe 570-square foot loft cabins and a main lodge with hot tub, sauna, mountain view dining and saloon. The cabins can accommodate 2 people in either twin xl beds or one king.

Once settled into your private cabin, we will meet before dinner to discuss the weeks itinerary and options and sign waivers.

Tonight we’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at Moose Hill Lodge.

Days Two to Six

We’ll rise early with panoramic views of Altin Lake and the mountains. You can make espresso in your cabin and then meet in the Moose Hill Lodge dining room for more coffee and a hearty breakfast.

After breakfast, we’ll gear up, have a quick briefing, and head off on one of our daily adventures.

Midday, we’ll stop for a picnic lunch and gauge our energy levels for the rest of the afternoon. We can hike, paddle or bike to our heart’s content before being whisked back to the lodge for a hot tub, sauna, a cocktail or two. Tonight we celebrate with another fantastic dinner prepared by our own Chef Mandy.

For the next few days, we’ll follow the same schedule of early breakfast, loading up for our adventures and then returning back to Atlin and Moose Hill Lodge for pampering and celebrations.

If your legs need a rest, take a day to relax, explore the historic and charming village of Atlin, book a massage, have a sauna, soak in our hot tub or chill on one of our decks – the views are stunning. Of course doing nothing at all is also an option.

Day Seven

Today we leave Moose Hill after breakfast and transfer you to Whitehorse for flights home.
